Ready for Dimensions Math® 8A?
If your child has been successful in Dimensions Math 7B, this is the perfect next step.
In Dimensions Math 8A the student continues to take ownership of their education. They can watch instruction videos, complete homework, and view solutions to any homework problems that they are struggling with all on their own. The solutions videos allow students to attempt more problems in less time because they don’t have to spend a long time being “stuck” on one problem! After attempting a problem for a reasonable amount of time, the student can access the solutions recording where Mrs. Barnett models the thinking skills and mathematical concepts required to solve each problem.
What Dimensions Math Includes:
- Words to Listen For: During each instruction video, students are asked to write down a specific word. At the end of each lesson parents can ask to see these words and compare them to the list of words that are provided to parents. This holds students accountable for listening well during instructional time.
- Parent Notes: Parent notes are provided for each unit. These notes include an overview of the unit, suggestions for what problems are necessary and which ones can be omitted, and information about when to use a calculator.
- Tests and Keys: High quality tests are provided for each unit, as well as keys so parents can know how their students are doing.

very challenging. my child has ADHD and Brenda moves fast and it usually takes double the video length or even more to complete it.

Brenda has made doing these higher levels of Singapore math possible in homeschool. When my student needs help , i can watch her lessons and learn the content to help provide clarity for my student. However, the videos have been clear enough for my student to complete most without help. Brenda /SML is supportive when additional help is needed. The only thing I would love to have is video solutions for exams. I am so proud of my student completing the 1st half of dimensions 8 - feels like quite the accomplishment. Thank you

Singapore Math. While the material in Dimensions Math 8A is challenging, Mrs. Barnett teaches it in a very simple and easy to follow manner. There has never been a time, since I have been using SML, that I have been confused about how to tackle a problem.
My daughter and I are completing 8A with confidence and I always know that regardless of how daunting the chapter may look, Mrs. Barnett will work us through it step by step. She is the most exceptional math teacher I have ever encountered. Thank you Mrs. Barnett for making our math class enjoyable and stress-free.
